one hundred people die     

every year     

from choking to death on     

ballpoint pens     

and falling out of bed     

kills 450 people annually     

but elephants are the only mammals     

that can die from a broken heart     

and since i only write with     

crayons and i sleep under the stars     

i guess i should go on loving you     

and hope that i am one of the thirteen people     

that will be killed by a vending machine.
